Terms of Service
These Terms govern the Medu website, apps, study tools, community features, courses, digital content, and related services.
1. Agreement and policy order
By creating an account, clicking an acceptance box, buying a product, or using Medu, you agree to these Terms and the policies that apply to the feature you use. If you do not agree, do not use Medu.
The Privacy Notice explains personal-data handling. The Paid Products Terms, Course and Content Terms, MEDUPRO Terms, and Refund Policy supplement these Terms. Product-specific terms shown before payment control over a conflicting general description for that product. Mandatory law always controls where it cannot be waived.
2. Adults only and medical imagery
Medu is for people aged 18 or older. By using Medu, you confirm that you are at least 18 and legally able to enter this agreement. Do not create an account or make a purchase if you are under 18.
Medical education may include clinical photographs, anatomy, pathology, procedures, injury, blood, reproductive-health material, or other graphic or sensitive content. Use Medu only if you are comfortable viewing legitimate adult medical-education material.
3. Accounts and security
- Provide accurate information and keep your sign-in credentials secure.
- One person may not impersonate another, sell an account, share paid access, or use another person's payment proof.
- Tell Medu promptly at support@medu.courses if you suspect unauthorized access.
- You are responsible for activity under your account unless the activity resulted from a failure for which Medu is legally responsible.
4. Acceptable use
You must follow the Community and Acceptable Use Rules. In particular, do not harass others, publish illegal or infringing material, disclose identifiable patient information, upload confidential exam content, distribute malware, scrape protected content, manipulate payments or rankings, bypass access controls, or interfere with the service.
Security research is permitted only with Medu's prior written authorization and within the authorized scope. Do not exploit, disclose, or retain another person's data.
5. Educational service, not medical care
Medu provides education and revision tools. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, emergency services, professional supervision, certification, or a doctor-patient relationship. Never use Medu as the sole basis for patient care or an urgent decision. Contact local emergency services for an emergency.
Medical knowledge, clinical guidance, drug information, and examination formats change. Check important information against current official guidance, your institution's requirements, and qualified professional judgment. AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete. See the Medical Education and AI Disclaimer.
6. Paid services
Medu may offer MEDUPRO, course access, course subscriptions, premium notes, international examination question banks, and other digital products. The checkout must show the price, currency, billing frequency, access period, main features, and applicable refund terms before payment.
A PayPal subscription renews automatically only when the checkout clearly says it is recurring and you authorize it through PayPal. A Bankak transfer is manually reviewed and never renews automatically. Cancellation, failed-payment, refund, and access rules are explained in the applicable paid-service terms.
7. Community and user content
You keep ownership of content you create. By posting or uploading content to Medu, you give Medu a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, format, display, and transmit it only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, moderate, and promote the feature in which you posted it. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except for technical backups, legal records, content others have already shared, and uses that must continue to operate a product you authorized Medu to distribute.
You confirm that you have the necessary rights and permissions, that the content is lawful, and that it does not reveal patient identities or confidential examination material. Public profiles, groups, posts, comments, ratings, and uploaded public media can be seen and copied by others. Do not post anything you expect Medu to keep confidential.
Medu may review reported content, limit its reach, remove it, preserve evidence, or disclose it when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect people, or comply with a valid legal request.
8. Intellectual property and examination integrity
Medu and its licensors own the platform software, design, branding, original content, and compilations, excluding user-owned content. A purchase grants access or a limited study licence; it does not transfer copyright or resale rights.
Question banks must contain independently written, authorized, or properly licensed material. Do not submit recalled questions, answer keys, screenshots, reconstructions, or other confidential content from a live examination. Medu is not affiliated with or endorsed by USMLE, NBME, FSMB, Intealth, or any other examination body unless a product page expressly states an authorized relationship. Examination names and marks belong to their respective owners. See the Copyright and Exam Integrity Policy.
9. Third-party services, links, and advertising
Medu uses independent services such as Firebase/Google, PayPal, Bankak, Brevo, Groq, Cloudinary, Cloudflare, YouTube, and Telegram. Their terms and privacy notices also apply when you interact with them. Medu does not control an external service and is not responsible for its independent conduct, availability, or content.
Advertisements and sponsored material must be identified as such. Payment for placement does not make an advertisement medical advice or a Medu endorsement. See the Advertising and Sponsorship Policy.
10. Suspension, termination, and service changes
Medu may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate an account when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, non-payment, serious or repeated policy violations, legal compliance, or protection of users. Where appropriate, Medu will explain the reason and provide a way to appeal. Immediate action may be taken where delay would create risk.
You may stop using Medu and request account deletion. Ending an account does not erase payment obligations, licences already granted to purchasers, or records that Medu must retain. Medu may change or discontinue features. If a material change substantially removes paid access during a promised term, Medu will provide a reasonable replacement, extension, refund, or other remedy where required.
11. Disclaimers and limits of liability
Medu is provided with reasonable care, but availability, accuracy, uninterrupted access, examination outcomes, clinical outcomes, and compatibility with every device are not guaranteed. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Medu is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you accepted these Terms.
Where law permits a monetary cap, Medu's total liability arising from a paid service will not exceed the amount you paid Medu for that service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This limit does not apply to fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, breach of mandatory data-protection duties, or any liability or consumer remedy that cannot legally be limited.
12. International availability and disputes
Medu is an international medical-education service intended to benefit users in many countries. The individual operator currently resides and operates from Saudi Arabia. These Terms do not select Saudi law or Saudi courts as the exclusive governing law or forum, but Medu's international audience does not exclude mandatory Saudi rules or mandatory laws that apply because of the operator's residence or establishment, your location, or the way a service is offered.
If the operator relocates to Sudan or another country, Medu will review and update its operator, tax, payment-provider, privacy, and dispute information before continuing live sales from the new location. A relocation does not automatically transfer the PayPal account, remove Saudi obligations already incurred, or make future revenue tax-free.
Before starting formal proceedings, contact Medu and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue. Nothing in these Terms removes a consumer's right to use a court, regulator, alternative dispute body, or remedy that applicable law makes mandatory. If no governing law is expressly selected, applicable conflict-of-law rules determine the law and forum.
13. Changes and contact
Medu may update these Terms for legal, security, operational, or product reasons. Material changes will be communicated in a reasonable way before they take effect where required. A new version will not retroactively change a completed purchase unless law requires it or you agree.
