Course and Content Terms
Additional rules for one-time courses, course subscriptions, premium notes, and international examination question banks.
1. Scope and relationship to other terms
These terms supplement the Terms of Service, Paid Products Terms, and Refund and Cancellation Policy. You must be at least 18 to enrol, subscribe, or purchase.
Medu is an independent education platform. It is not a government agency, university, medical school, teaching hospital, healthcare provider, professional regulator, examination authority, or accreditation body. A product does not award an accredited qualification unless its page expressly identifies the accrediting organization and an authorized relationship.
2. Access models
Each product page must state which model applies:
- One-time purchase: personal access or a download on the terms shown at checkout.
- Fixed-term access: access for a stated number of days or until a stated date, with no automatic renewal unless expressly labelled otherwise.
- Recurring subscription: continuing access billed at the displayed frequency until cancellation.
- Live cohort: scheduled teaching, which may include attendance windows, recordings, assignments, or community access described on the page.
"Lifetime" access, if ever offered, means for the commercial life of that specific product on Medu, not the lifetime of a person or a guarantee that the platform will operate forever. Any materially different promise stated at checkout controls.
3. Courses and live teaching
A course page should identify the subject, instructor or provider, format, planned schedule, included materials, prerequisites, access period, and whether recordings or instructor support are included. Unless expressly promised, purchase does not guarantee attendance at every live session, personal tutoring, assignment marking, a certificate, continuing-professional-development credit, or permanent access to recordings.
Medu or an instructor may reasonably change the order, date, speaker, or delivery format. If a substantial part of a paid course is cancelled and not reasonably replaced, Medu will offer an appropriate extension, substitute, partial refund, full refund, or other remedy required by law.
4. Premium notes and downloadable material
Premium notes are revision aids, not complete clinical protocols or official curriculum documents. The product page should state the format, edition or update date where relevant, approximate scope, download rights, and whether future revisions are included.
Unless stated otherwise, one purchase permits personal study and reasonable backup copies. It does not permit posting the file in a group, shared drive, website, question-answer system, resale channel, or AI training dataset.
5. International examination question banks
Medu question banks are independently authored or properly licensed practice material. They are not official exam questions and must not contain recalled, reconstructed, solicited, or confidential live-examination content. Users must not submit such material to Medu.
References to USMLE, NBME, FSMB, Intealth, PLAB, MRCP, IFOM, or another exam, organization, or trademark describe the intended study context only. Medu is not affiliated with, endorsed by, approved by, or sponsored by those organizations unless a product page expressly documents an authorized relationship. Scores and analytics are educational estimates and do not predict or guarantee an official result.
Exam blueprints, standards, and dates change. Medu may correct, replace, retire, or reclassify questions. Report suspected errors or confidential exam content to support@medu.courses.
6. Course and question-bank subscriptions
A recurring subscription renews only through a payment method and checkout that clearly say it is recurring. The renewal amount, currency, frequency, trial (if any), and included content must be displayed before authorization. PayPal recurring billing continues until cancellation. Bankak access never renews automatically and requires a new approved transfer for each new period.
Cancellation stops future recurring charges and normally leaves access until the paid period ends. Losing access at the end of a term may remove online progress, private community access, downloads not already saved, or instructor support. Medu may retain required purchase and learning records as explained in the Privacy Notice.
7. Personal educational licence
Your access is personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and limited to the stated term. Do not share credentials, record live sessions without permission, distribute videos or downloads, copy a substantial part of a question bank, automate extraction, sell answers, or help another person bypass payment or access controls.
You may quote limited portions for private study, criticism, or another use permitted by law, with appropriate attribution where applicable. Accessibility tools and reasonable format-shifting for your own lawful use are permitted unless they compromise security or another person's rights.
8. Instructors and contributors
Instructor views are their own and may not represent Medu. An instructor or contributor must own or have permission for material they provide, protect learner and patient confidentiality, disclose relevant conflicts, avoid misleading credentials, and follow the Copyright and Exam Integrity Policy.
If Medu later enables third-party sellers to receive payments, separate creator/seller terms must identify seller responsibilities, revenue share, tax handling, refunds, content review, and the party responsible for fulfilment. These user-facing terms alone do not create a right for a third party to sell through Medu.
9. Accuracy, clinical use, and results
Content is for adult medical education and may contain graphic clinical material. It is not patient-specific advice, institutional policy, professional supervision, or a substitute for current primary sources and local protocols. Do not use a Medu answer explanation as the sole basis for clinical care.
Medu does not promise admission, employment, certification, examination eligibility, a particular score, a pass, or any clinical outcome. Testimonials describe individual experiences and are not guarantees. See the Medical Education and AI Disclaimer.
10. Access problems, cancellation, and refunds
Contact support promptly for a broken download, inaccessible entitlement, missing promised session, duplicate charge, or material mismatch with the product description. Medu will assess repair, replacement, extension, re-performance, or refund under the Refund and Cancellation Policy and mandatory local law.
