Advertising and Sponsorship Policy
How Medu distinguishes paid messages from education and protects editorial independence.
1. Paid material must be clear
Medu-controlled display ads are labelled "Advertisement." Direct paid placements, funded articles, events, or messages are labelled "Sponsored," "Paid advertisement," or an equally clear term near the content. A sponsor's name is disclosed where reasonably possible.
A label must not be hidden in small print or made confusing by design. Organic educational recommendations should not be presented in the same style as a paid placement without a clear distinction.
2. Editorial and educational independence
Payment does not buy a favourable medical conclusion, question-bank answer, product review, instructor opinion, search ranking presented as organic, or suppression of a legitimate safety concern. Sponsors may define factual campaign requirements but may not secretly control Medu's educational judgment.
An advertisement is not a Medu endorsement and is never medical advice. Users must independently assess claims and consult qualified sources.
3. Advertising standards
Medu may reject, remove, or require changes to advertising that is illegal, misleading, discriminatory, exploitative, unsafe, infringing, malicious, politically deceptive, or inconsistent with an adult professional-learning environment. Ads must identify material conditions, prices, risks, and sponsor identity where required.
Prohibited or restricted categories include patient exploitation, unlicensed clinical services, falsified credentials, exam cheating or recalled questions, guaranteed exam results, counterfeit products, unsafe drugs or supplements, weapons, malware, credential harvesting, adult sexual services, and products unlawful in the viewer's location.
4. Health and medical claims
An advertiser is responsible for substantiating health, efficacy, safety, comparative, and professional claims. A paid message must not claim guaranteed diagnosis, cure, treatment outcome, examination result, or regulatory approval without lawful, clear, and verifiable support.
Prescription, regulated, or jurisdiction-restricted products must follow the law and platform rules that apply to the audience. Medu may require evidence of authorization and may limit targeting or decline the campaign.
5. Google AdSense
Where active, Google selects and serves ads under its advertising policies. Depending on region and consent, Google may show personalized or non-personalized ads and use data for delivery, measurement, frequency control, and fraud prevention. Medu does not choose every individual Google ad.
Medu will use required consent and privacy controls before advertising technology where applicable. See the Cookie and Advertising Technology Notice and Google's partner-site information.
6. Direct sponsorships
A direct sponsor may receive aggregate information such as impressions, clicks, broad campaign timing, and total conversions where lawfully measured. Medu does not give a direct sponsor private messages, individual question answers, detailed learning performance, AI submissions, patient information, full payment credentials, or a buyer list for the sponsor's independent marketing without separate permission.
A sponsored course or resource must disclose who funded it and any meaningful sponsor involvement in the content. An instructor must disclose a relevant financial relationship.
7. Affiliate links, gifts, and testimonials
If Medu may earn commission from a link or purchase, the relationship must be disclosed near the recommendation. Free products, gifts, discounts, or other material relationships that could affect a review or testimonial must also be disclosed.
Testimonials must reflect genuine experiences and may not promise that every user will obtain the same academic, professional, or financial result.
8. Advertising data and choices
Medu does not sell personal data for money. Google and advertising partners may process identifiers and interaction data as described in the Privacy Notice. Such disclosure may be treated as sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under some laws, so applicable consent and opt-out rights remain available.
9. MEDUPRO ad-free benefit
An active MEDUPRO account removes Medu-controlled display-ad placements. It does not remove a properly disclosed sponsor credit within content, third-party branding in an embedded service, or an instructor's disclosed commercial relationship.
10. Report an advertisement
Report a misleading, unsafe, inappropriate, or incorrectly labelled ad to support@medu.courses. Include the page, advertiser name, screenshot if safe, and reason for concern. Medu may share the report with the ad provider or sponsor as needed to investigate.
